Ashland University Dwight Schar College of Education Ed.D. dissertations are available in the library. Located on the ground floor, Technical Services area. COE doctoral dissertations are part of the library circulating collection.
Education doctoral dissertations have a call number beginning with EdD followed by the year and first four letters of the authors last name. For example, the call number for What Rural Superintendents in Ohio Value in New Teacher Candidates (2012) would be EdD 2012 Smit/R
AU Ed.D. dissertations may also be located via author search and will display in various searches (subject, keyword) initiated for the researched topic.
Use the 'other call number' option to search for AU Library dissertation holdings by year. For example:
Enter edd 2016 into the search box and click Go to view AU Ed.D. Dissertations published in 2016.
Ashland University Theses and Ed.D. Dissertations are submitted to two platforms available to users via OhioLINK and Ashland University Library.
Use the drop-down menu at the top of this page to view AU Ed.D. Dissertations by year, in both platforms.
AU Library does not offer printing or copying services for dissertations. Here are a few suggestions for when you are ready to print your completed dissertation for the bindery.
Two print copies of your completed dissertation are required for the binding process. The first is sent to the bindery; when returned, it is cataloged and placed in AU Library's circulating collection. The second copy is not bound, but is kept as archived copy if it becomes necessary to replace the original (e.g. lost, stolen, or damaged).
If you would like a personal bound copy of your completed dissertation, you can purchase one for $20 per copy.
Communicate with the College of Education concerning other expectations related to ETD submissions such as total price and platform submission requirements.
Carefully check your finished dissertations for errors. Copies submitted for binding are final. Once a dissertation is sent to the bindery, submission is complete and errors can not be corrected. Additional charges will be applied if the process needs to be repeated.
