Introduction

We have plans! Stay tuned.

The XR conference room provides a physical space for using the XR/VR HoloLens technology. It will be used to develop active and experiential learning workshops and activities for students, faculty, and staff. Since HoloLens fully integrate with Microsoft Teams, there may be options for users to visit the conference room for hybrid meetings across campus.

  • Library Open House:  Wednesday, January 17th
  • Pop-Up Events, Spring 2023
  • Exploring free HoloLens Apps

Playing to Learn: HoloLens Apps Under Consideration

Existing VR Initiatives •

Ashland University's Center for Innovation and Teaching Excellence (CITE) provides Oculus/Meta Quest VR headsets and software for faculty, with training offered by LearnAU instructional designers. One-on-One training is offered, as are workshops and pop-up events.

Follow LearnAU on LinkedIn and learn more about how they "implement cutting-edge digital tools and strategies to foster forward-thinking practices, academic excellence, and student success," and engage with their popular 1 Burning Question video series.

2023 - 24 Pop-Up Events •

Did you attend one of the successful Pop-Up events hosted by LearnAU's senior instructional designer Chuck Piscitello? These AR/VR Pop-Up events were presented at various campus locations during the fall 2023 and spring 2024 semester, providing opportunity for users to immerse themselves in a virtual adventure with Meta Quest or Microsoft HoloLens Headsets.
