Overview • Library Catalogs

What is a library catalog? Generally speaking, a library catalog is a bibliographic listing of all items - physical and electronic - found in a library collection. This may include books, serials, media, and realia items.

Physical collections are classified using Library of Congress call numbers; items are shelved on floors two through six in Archer Library. Circulating items are checked out on the main floor of Archer Library.
