Circulation Information for ATS Library

Here are a few key details to keep in mind when borrowing materials from the ATS Library:

• Loan Period: Items may be checked out for 42 days, with the option to renew up to six times, provided no one else has requested the item.

• Loan Policies:

• Books:

  • Loan Period: 42 days
  • Renewals: Up to 6 times (unless requested by another user)
     

• Non-Book Items (e.g., media):

  • Loan Period: 42 days
  • Renewals: Up to 6 times (unless requested by another user)

• Fines & Fees:

• Overdue Items:

  • $0.50 per item per day
  • Maximum overdue fine: $50

• Lost Items:

  • $75 replacement fee
  • $50 processing fee
  • Total: $125
• Accounts with a balance of $25 or more will have their account suspended until the balance is paid. 
• Graduation Requirement: All borrowed materials must be returned and any outstanding fines paid before you can defend your dissertation. Due dates cannot be extended beyond your scheduled defense date.
• Borrowing Limit: You may have up to 60 items checked out on your account at any given time.

OhioLINK Borrowing Information

Ashland University students located within Ohio have access to OhioLINK’s hard copy materials, which can be delivered to any participating library across the state.

Important Reminder:
There are no exceptions for DMin students regarding OhioLINK policies. Please monitor your due dates carefully and ensure all items are renewed or returned on time to avoid substantial fines.

Outside of Ohio Requests

Mailing Items
 We will mail up to 15 items to DMin students outside of Ohio. You must provide us with the specific title and call numbers of the books that you want. We will pay for shipping the items to you, and you are responsible for getting them back to us.
