Welcome • Relax & Breathe

Archer Library's Wellness Space, located in the XR Conference Room on the main floor, is a private space meant to serve as a temporary refuge from the rigors of campus life. Organized to accommodate a single person, the room is well-suited to serve a variety of self-care needs such as a reflective space for prayer and meditation and a sensory supportive space for neurodivergent patrons.


About the Wellness Space

Amenities in Archer Library's Wellness Space include:

  • Noise-reducing Egg Chair,
  • Privacy screens,
  • Bright light therapy lamp,
  • Craft table for coloring and puzzles,
  • White noise sound machine,
  • Various small fidget items,
  • Coloring books,
  • Meditation cards/handouts, and
  • Plants

Using the Wellness Space

When using the Wellness Space, these guidelines should be followed:

  • Be respectful of the space.
  • Handle furniture and items with care (notify library staff of any spills, tears, or noticed damage).
  • Do not remove any library owned furniture or bring in furniture from other library areas.
  • Return all materials to their original location.
  • Take your personal belongings with you and discard your trash when you leave.
  • Limit any food items to light snacks and capped drinks (closed containers).
  • Be mindful of food smells and noise if eating in this space.
