Archer Library's Copyright & Fair Use resource guide is a starting point for basic copyright guidelines, resources, and fair use practices. Here you will find information about using Archer Library's digital collections in online courses, resources from the Center for Innovation & Teaching Excellence's (CITE) instruction design team and course development, and contact information for Ashland University's Campus store for those developing course packs. This guide should not be used as a replacement for legal advice regarding your copyright questions or concerns.
If you have copyright questions about Archer Library's digital resources for an online course, or need help linking to journals, articles, or eBook content located in our databases, feel free to contact us at library@ashland.edu.
The Center for Innovation & Teaching Excellence (CITE) instructional design team provides faculty with the resources they need to build courses that are academically and legally sound. Each semester, faculty who are paired with instructional designers are provided with a copy of CITE's Course Development Guide, a comprehensive resource including copyright information.
If you have questions about course packs, the Campus Store provides copyright management support to the University community.
