EDEC 140: Phonics & English Language: Big Books

Instructional Resource Center & AU Library resources to support EDEC 140

Juvenile Big Books

Juvenile Big Books are located on the second floor, behind the activity and curriculum textbook collection stacks - next to the book kits.

This collection is cataloged and shelved numerically with a call number beginning bigbk followed by a number; the newest title has the highest number.

Big books are housed in large hanging bags, both bag and book should be taken to the circulation desk. Big Books are part of the IRC circulating collection with a loan period of one week. Remember, you may check due dates, keep up to date with OhioLINK requests, and renew books using the "my account" link on the library web site or access and view your library record from the library catalog home page.

More About Big Books

When searching the catalog, you may notice several big book titles in the collection have an accompanying audio book. Pictured below is the catalog record for BigBk 038, Old MacDonald Had a Farm; it includes big book 038 and audio book 0151, a picture book in paperback and audio tape. Both items are available for check-out! Audio Books are located inside the IRC, ask in the IRC if you need help locating an audio book.
