Dissertation Digital Publication Process

Dissertation Digital Publication Process

Once you have defended and been approved for publication, Dr. Dawn will send you an email with a link to video instructions walking you through the steps to publish your dissertation to both OhioLINK's Electronic Theses and Dissertation Center, as well as to ProQuest UMI.

After you have completed all steps in the videos, I am notified that your dissertation is up for review. I will go through your submission and make sure that it is formatted and everything is correctly included for publication in both databases. If something is incorrect I will send your document back to you with notes. Otherwise, after I have reviewed it, I will forward the submission onward to OhioLINK ETD, where it will be immediately published as a digital document. It will also be queued for upload to ProQuest to make it available worldwide. Dissertations are uploaded from OhioLINK to ProQuest on the 1st and 15th of every month, and then usually take 6-8 weeks after that for ProQuest to process and make them available.

Lastly, I will email you that the OhioLINK upload was successful. Once this is done, Dr. Dawn will notify the Registrar that you are free and clear for graduation.
